Circular Head dual name proposals open for public submissions | The Advocate

A set of Aboriginal names for iconic landmarks in Circular Head are now being advertised on the government’s placenames website. The names were put forward by the Circular Head Aboriginal Corporation earlier this year, using research mostly based on the journals of George Augustus Robinson. The seven names will be advertised on the Placenames Tasmania website until November 27, 2020. Kaninerwidic: Pronounced “Ka nina widic”….
