Tasmania has confirmed its first COVID case in more than seven months.
Premier Peter Gutwein confirmed the infection on Thursday afternoon.
The 31-year-old man flew into Tasmania on Monday and tested positive while in hotel quarantine. He returned to NSW on Wednesday.
